Celebrating a Blessing from God
We rejoice today as Grant Thomas Jenkins is brought to the Lord in the waters of Holy Baptism. Grant’s parents are Pastor Tom and Stacey Jenkins. His siblings are Sam and Maya. Grant’s sponsors are Jason and Molly Cardosi. May they ever rejoice together in this sacramental gift of God’s love!
Please Welcome Pastor Koepke
Pastor Shane Christian

Parents are expected to attend! Pr. Tom will be leading the confirmation meeting from 6:30 - 7:00 p.m. 9th graders being confirmed this year are invited to both groups until they are confirmed on October 31st (see below).
High School Youth Group - Atonement's Youth and Education Team has agreed to have a go at organizing a High School Youth Group this year! The organizational meeting for the high school kids (grades 8-12) will begin around 7:00 p.m. following the confirmation meeting and should take about half an hour depending on discussion and questions. Our basic purpose for this group will be centered on service (with the initial goal of providing a service opportunity once a month) and building relationships between the kids and the community. Attendance of the 8th graders is completely optional. If they want to come hear about youth group they are more than welcome to stay.

Can You Help Build a Habitat for Humanity House?
On Wednesday, September 15th, Atonement is partnering with St. Phillips Lutheran Church to help build a Thrivent Habitat for Humanity house in Brooklyn Park at 7424 Brunswick Ave North. Each church is to provide 5 - 7 helpers. No experience is necessary, but if you know your way around a hammer or saw, it would help.
Please sign up on the poster in the entry. Bring your own lunch. The Charitable Giving Team will provide noon beverages and treats. Wear boots (not soft shoes). Gloves and hard hats are provided or you can bring (and label) your own. We will meet in our church parking lot at 7:45 a.m. then carpool to the site. Our work day ends at 4:00 p.m.
This is an awesome opportunity for Atonement and St. Philips to deliver shelter! The Charitable Giving Team
