ATONEMENT OUTREACH AND
               CONGREGATIONAL LIFE

The primary mission of the committee is outreach to potential members to assist them in joining our church and becoming active members.
Objectives:
1) Communicate and promote the purpose of Atonement
2) Identify, welcome and remain in contact with potential members
3) Educate, receive and assimilate new members into Atonement
4) Encourage the spiritual growth of all members
5) Reach out and establish relationships with associate and affiliate members.

Programs within the committee:
Communications and promotions--through newspaper advertising, pamphlets, flyers, and picture directory.
Sunday morning greeters.
Outreach to potential members--through "Welcome to Worship" pew pads, greeters, letters sent to visitors, guest book sign-in, welcome visit by lay person and pastor visitation.
Education program for and intake of new members--through Lutheranism Classes, New Member Workshops, recruitment and training of new member sponsors, reception, and assimilation of new members into Atonement's church life, and annual social for new members and their sponsors.
