Atonement Youth

The purpose of the Youth Committee is to provide activities for the youth to spend time together having fun, growing in their Christian faith, building friendships, learning the value of service, and strengthening their feeling of being connected to the church community.

Faith N' Fun Nights are open to all 3rd-6th grade students and friends. Faith N' Fun events happen about once a month. Each event includes fun camp songs and a faith based lesson. Activities that we have done in the past include going to the apple orchard, crazy wacky bowling, hay rides, swimming,, and going to the park for outdoor games.

For 7th-12th grade students, we offer such events like community service projects, an all night lock-in, and summer mission trips.

In addition to the events held for the youth, we host events for all families at Atonement, such as bonfires and smores.
The Youth Committee is always open for new ideas to reach the youth of all ages at Atonement and in our community.

Atonement youth are an active bunch. We plan to fill the Summer & Fall months with fun activities, service projects, and spiritual growth. Here's some of what's coming up:

Higher Ground Music Festival Aug 14-15
Higher Ground Music Festival – Save the Date! The Youth group is attending the Higher Ground Music Festival Aug 14-15 (Fri/Sat) in Winsted, MN (about 35 miles west of Atonement). Please join us! Everyone is invited. Prepare for a fun-filled weekend of music, friends, food, camping, and fellowship. The Festival has a great line-up of today’s top Christian music. We have already purchased 12 tickets, and 2 campsites, but can get more tickets. Watch for more details. Higher Ground Music Festival promises to be an amazing experience! Thanks, the Youth Team

Join us for the Annual Twins Game! It’s Lutheran Night at the Twins---Wednesday, August 26, 2009, 7pm game.
All Atonement members and friends are invited!! We have 30 tickets in section 223 --Upper deck, behind home plate. These are $22 seats, however, the Atonement Youth group got them for $10 each, and we are selling them to you for $5! What a bargain.
Also, $1 from every ticket sold will benefit Habitat for Humanity.
We only have 30 tickets, so sign up quickly! Please meet at church at 6pm so we can carpool to the game.
